OUR HISTORY
His Purpose, His Passion
Wibert had a passion for community service. His most beloved charity was the work of Charity Newsies. Wil believed that all children should have the necessary clothing to attend school. On July 1, 2018, Wil passed away after a brief battle with cancer. During his time of illness, he made it very clear that he wanted any financial support of his passing to be donated to Charity Newsies.  Wil lived a life of serving Charity Newsies with hope, compassion and love. The Wilbert C Anderson Jr Foundation has that same mission statement, to serve Charity Newsies with hope, compassion and love while honoring Wil’s legacy.

OUR MISSION
Here at Wilbert C. Anderson Jr. Foundation, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all. We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact with all of our pursuits.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE
If it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.  Romans 12:7-8

COMMUNITY OUTREACH
The mission of Charity Newsies is that no child shall be kept out of school for lack of adequate clothing.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTINUTIES
The Foundation sees higher education as a catalyst, an agent of change for individuals, families and our communities.

FOOD DONATIONS
Our goal is to help eliminate hunger in our community by providing residents in need with food that promotes the value of nutrition, increase self-sufficiency and instill hope.

Committed to the Cause
In whatever you do, don’t let selfishness or pride be your guide. Be humble, and honor others more than yourselves. Don’t be interested only in your own life, but care about the lives of others too. Philippians 2:3-4
